Dont overwash your hair. Make sure your shampoo is completely rinsed out before you put on conditioner. When using conditioner make sure you only use on the ends or bottom half of your hair. Dont put conditioner near the scalp your hair produces enough natural oil there so you dont need it. Avoid hairspray near the scalp also. It will flake off and become itchy and or dry.

Definitely use jojoba oil. It is very similiar to natural skin oil. Just rub it into your scalp at night before bed and then wash in the morning. It works really well.

Olive oil, well if ur white that may not work I'm sorry, for ethnic hair it does wonders, for Caucasian u could try just applying it to the scalp and massaging it in, whereas for ethnic hair u totally cover your whole head in it while the hair is wet and style as usual.

brown sugar! sounds crazy but I use it as an exfoliant - just add a tiny bit of water & some brown sugar & rub on the dry areas of your scalp!
