I need 5.8 GHz phones because my wi-fi messes up the sound with anything with less GHz. I got a Uniden phone for Christmas, but I had to return it because of poor sound quality. Any recommendations for cheap 5.8 GHz phones that still have good sound quaility. I will take recommendations for good 5.8 GHz phones even if they aren't cheap. Thanks for your help!

Besides just 5.8GHz phones, you should have a look at the new DECT 6.0 phones. They run on a new band of frequencies that have better range and are guaranteed against interference since all of the phones have to be digital and they all have to listen before they transmit. 5.8GHz may be okay for now, but the new WiFi equipment is going to be on 5.8 and soon it will be just as bad as 2.4GHz is now, as it seems like you've already found out. DECT 6.0 phones cost about $70 for a base, 2 handsets and a handset charger but they're worth the money. You can use both handsets at the same time, and you can even use the handsets with other bases like if you go to someone elses' house that has a DECT 6.0 phone. The range is good and like I said before, they're impervious to interference and that'll never be a problem unlike 5.8GHz where the $20 analog walmart phones screw it up for everyone else. I use them in my house with WiFi and it's no problem, and the audio sounds great too as it has some sort of graphic equalizer thing in it.
