Some people may not want their children to develop insecurities if they might be overweight. I don't see anything wrong with children knowing their size, but most of the time they grow so fast their size doesn't stay the same for long. And they'll forget in two minutes anyway.

My child's two so what's the point?
When she gets to be about 4 or 5 and we go clothes shopping she'll know so she can help pick them out - this question is odd to me - who says it's wrong to tell kids their dress size?
To be honest, i've never thought about this question. I guess when she gets to the age of understanding and we go out i'll tell her what size to look for - no big deal to me.

nicely it truly is probable because the garments from the toddler's shops in fantastic condition you, it really is why she is making you positioned on them because she nonetheless sees you as her little woman. once you are able to't fit in those outfits your of direction going to could flow to diverse outfits shops. basically teach her some outfits on line, or once you go procuring from diverse shops no longer "infantile" ones or inspite of. an excellent type of the garments in little ones shops and ones that are in different shops are oftentimes an identical, they're only more low-priced and may have more effective babyish kinds, be more effective cutesy or inspite of. Your 13...I used to purchase at H&M young children section then, and that i did not locate that babyish. i'm fifteen now can won't be able to fit in that stuff :P basically locate older outfits shops and be conscious in the experience that they have got a teen section, like New seem, H&M, next etc.etc.

it about self esteem and the constant worry that children are getting fatter....my girls know their sizes, and are not self- consious at all....my only thing with parents that worry about their kids body image is that they are mentally hurting their children by expecting perfect bodies from children...they grow into their own person in time...we all cant be models....

Maybe that is just in your family...
In this family we all know what sizes we are.
