Don't expect too much from youself straightaway. The answer always lies in lifestyle change. If you intend to do what you are asking of your body you will do all of the following:
get bored
get burned out
eat more
Its not about how long it takes its completely about changing your whole life. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to get fit? Do you want to feel better about yourself? If the answer to all those questions is yes, then follow a do-able routine. Do not ask of yourself more than you can do for the rest of your life, not just at New Year. You need to change yourself and you can only do that gradually, one step at a time. Then keep it going forever. You will be slim, fit, healthy and happy. Its not about what you weigh its about your body shape and your overall well being.

That's difficult to say not knowing what your level of fitness is fromthe outset and without knowing how overweight you are. You also didn't mention what you do in the gym. 2 hours of cardio will burn more than an hour of yoga and an hour of pilates.
If you eat healthily and these are cardiovascular activities, you should see a noticable difference in 3-4 weeks.
If you confume more calories than you burn you will notice no difference.

swimming burns around 400 calories per hour depending on your speed. also you will need to alternate breaststroke and freestyle. and I would throw in a little backstroke, just to get a well rounded workout in the water. you should see a great difference in lean muscle mass in 4 weeks, but you need to eat well in addition.

right it truly is an hassle-free technique . Weigh your self on day a million, then devour some thing you fancy for 3 days ,yet write down each little thing you devour. upload up each of the energy , then once you chop back by way of one hundred energy an afternoon , even as your weightloss degrees off , cut back by way of yet another one hundred etc , utilising this technique , I guarentee you'll shed pounds slowly and the muscle loss will be saved to a minimum as a fashion to maintain as a lot as achieveable your modern metabolic price. I advise a third carbs a third protein and some thing starchy meals.

You will feel it before you see it. Truly, it depends on your caloric intake and your initial size. Consume less than you burn during a day and you will lose weight. If you keep working out hard, you will also build muscle, which is a lot heavier than fat, so the scales may not be telling you the entire truth (try measuring body fat as an indicator of your progress).

You will notice very slight changes in a few weeks, but it takes about three months for your body to adapt completely to it's new regime.
Good on you for keeping fit, I work out three time a week, and if I miss a session I soon see myself sliding back to flabby land!

That depends on a lot of things.. everyone gets different results with the same fitness plans. People who are ... "bigger" tend to see more of a weight difference because there's more weight to be lost. Either way, go for it... doing what you're gonna do is better than doing absolutely nothing.

You should start seeing results in a couple of weeks. If you eat healthy too, then that will speed up the process.. and drink plenty of water.
