Judaism is the religion of the Jews.

The modern day Israeli flag is the symbol of Zionism, not of Judaism.

Judiasm is the faith of the Jews, ancestors of the forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and then descended from Jacobs 12 sons.

Zionism is the belief that Jews have a right to govern themselves in their own homeland of Israel.

Anyone can be a Zionist - You do not need to be Jewish to be a Zionist.

Many people oppose Zionism because they do not believe that the Jews deserve independence or control over their own homeland. God exiled the Jews for their sins, so many people feel that they need to be Gods enforcers. On the other hand, God also promised that the Jews ownership of the land was eternal, and that he will always return them to live there.

Many people feel that it is racist to want to have a Jewish country, and they want to dismantle the Jewish state. I look at it this way: Why is it OK to have 50 moselem countries in the world today and not 1 Jewish one?

Isn't that more racist?

Zionism: In modern terms, a politcal movement centered on the establishment and preservation of a Jewish homeland in the area of biblical Israel.

Judaism: The belief system outlined in the Torah, Prophets, Writings and Oral Tradition as recorded in the Talmud and other works.

As Judaism, in its perfect state, centers around a national identity on the land whose borders are defined in the Torah, Judaism and Zionism are inter-related and inter-dependent.
That said, there are those Jews who believe that the current state of Israel, or any 'Israel' established by anyone other than the Messiah is a bogus state and should not be supported. These folks are very much in the minority and viewed as crackpots by many. Additionally, a recent phenomenon has seen the rise of non-Jewish 'zionists' (mostly among evangelical christians) who are very supportive of the State of Israel.

Therefore, it is fair to say, unless very specifically qualified, that anti-zionist rants are just a more politically correct way to spout anti-jewish (ie anti-semitic) vitriol.

The difference between Zionism and Judaism is one is a religion and one is a political movement.
Judaism is the religion of the Jewish people. It is centered on writings and traditions rather than a person or group of people. In Judaism there is particular study of the laws and commandments that God is believed to have revealed to them when he established His covenant with them.
Zionism is a political movement supports the creation of a homeland for Jewish people in Isreal. Zionism is based in religious traditions that link the land of Israel to the Jewish people.

A few corrections. Zionism specifically refers to the reestablishment of Israel as a Jewish theocratic state with Jerusalem as its capital. It is a movement which has split Judaism. There are Jews (inside and outside of Israel) who are not Zionists for both religious and secular reasons.

Zionism today often refers to Greater Israel as the true Israel. This would include as part of Israel the territories which were given to the Palestinians at the time of the partition of Palestine.

One last comment. While there are extremist Palestinians who do not accept Israel, it should be noted that their parents and grandparents lived in a Palestine which included all of Jerusalem and all of what is now Israel. When the international community decided to relocate the Jews out of Europe, they didn't ask the Palestinians for permission.

The Mid-East is a mess and there are no easy answers as long as these tribes keep re-fighting every battle since Moses. As long as one side persists in making the connection from anti-Zionist to anti-Jewish to anti-semetic - conveniently forgetting that the Palestinians are as semetic as the Jews - while the other side is making the connection from pro-Zionist to anti-Arab to anti-Muslim, the conflict will continue.

Zionism is a movement to grant a homeland (namely, Israel) to the Jewish people. This was done after WWII by international consent, but many Palestinian extremist groups are still arguing the decision.

Judaism is a religion (You can also being a member of the Jewish ethnicity without being a member of the Jewish religion).

Judaism is a religion. It is the religion of people called Jews and this religion is the root of Christianity and Islam.

Zionism is a political movement, some kind of national liberation philosophy for independence and freedom for Jews all over the world.

people who bypass on rants approximately Zionism are relatively in simple terms protecting their hatred of Jews with the aid of utilising diverse words. putting forward you like Jews, yet can not stand the vast majority of Jews indoors the international (who're Zionists--with the aid of utilising fact of this they have faith Israel has a real to exist), does not fool each physique. EDIT: And the better comments are in simple terms as predictable.
