I mean really, are they?
Or is it just a bunch of preservatives, and fruit that all the nutrients has drained from?

I seriously doubt it. The fruit is loaded with fertilizers and pesticides. The liquid it is canned in is mostly processed (not natural) sugars and preservatives. There is very little actual nutritional value in them.

More poisons than nutrients.

I prefer natural fresh fruit to canned. Even if they are not jarred in syrups they contain high doses of additives and chemichal preservatives.
Anyways fresh fruit is not hard to find nowadays near your house so it is worth the effort buying it fresh. Nutrients and vitamins are lost sometimes in the conservation process and flavor has nothing to do either.

They basically have no nutritional value compared to fresh. The fruit has been cooked to death in the canning process and has usually had sugar added because the cooking makes it taste nasty. It's basically belly timber and nothing more.

Look for the fruits that are canned/jarred in water or their own juices.

BEWARE of the ones in the syrups. Those are loaded with calories and sugars....
