just moved in with my boyfriend who has two pit bulls, the male is marking everything in the house and every time i clean up or mop the floors he urinates on it,and it doesnt stop with the floors it is everthing in the house. short of burning down the house their is no way to get the smell out completely so now what.

get him fixed....sounds like there was pets there before that have also peed in the house you will have to do alot of work to cover the scent up, you dog knows by now i am sure that he needs to do this out side, so as soon as you see him doing this take him out side and when he comes back in watch him like a hawk, also you might want to try a crate for a while just to let him know his behavior is not acceptable. getting him fixed will help alot though...fixed males normally do not mark their territorys.

Go get special cleaners to use in the house that is designed for this. You may have to get new carpet put in to take out any other dog markings. Re-potty train the dog and make sure that he goes outside often. Discipline when he does in the house. NEVER use ammonia to clean up urine, they will just mark there again because ammonia smells so much like urine to them.

they make a pad you stick in their crate it is called a puppy wee wee pad i know it sounds dumb but it has a scent that attracts the dog to go on it.

fix him and then go to petco and buy cleaner that eliminates the odor... even to a dog.
