ok so my hair is black (more or less) and i have pale skin. i used to do heavey eyeliner and all but with black hair that makes me look a little emo.
i really like eye makeup, but how do i do it so it dosn't look emo-ish???

i would use a dark purple eyeliner and maybe try some blush and bronzer.

Use a different color eyeliner, if you have light eyes use a brown or if you want to stick to a darker hue use a lighter charcoal gray or something along those lines. You can also tone down the eyeliner by using a lighter hue eyeshadow. If you like bright color then eat your heart out, but I've found a lot of people like to use the golden or white colors.

you can wear eyeliner, dont just put it on so heavy. Light colors would probably be better in your case, because having dark hair and pale skin, and then wearing heavy colors does make you look kinda emo...So thats what I recommend. Light colors and you'll be good to go.
try something with some shimmer in it.....That will pop your eyes.,

If you like the smoky look try a charcoal gray or navy blue. Because it's for everyday use go with the gray. And smudge your liner so it looks softer.

Either put some lighter color highlights in yur hair , or even jsut something simple and change yur eyliner color !

try using other colours like green or blues etc, or if you dont want to experiment with colour then just use browns instead of black.

try to blend diff colours. that suit your skin tone :)
