I'm looking for a sunny holidy destination where I can sit on the beach without 2000 screaming children. ;)

Just pick an unfamiliar tourist destination area and make sure you go off season.

I do this all the time (at least once a year) The following places are kind of secluded.

Puerto Escondido, http://www.tomzap.com/escondio.html

Close to Manzanillo, Los Angeles Locos de Tenacatita. http://www.cancunsteve.com/vallarta/losangeleslocos.htm

Majahuitas its one of my favorites. No child can afford this one. http://www.mexicanbeachresort.com/eng/site.html

I hope this helps. I truly enjoy all this as much as I enjoy the natural wilderness of Alaska.

My last vacation in Florida we stayed at Castaways in Sanibel Island, Florida. They are like little beach cottages sitting right on the ocean. Absolutely wonderful. You have to walk around a lot to even find a place where your cellphone has service!

If you're interested in the Caribbean, try St. Maarten/St. Martin which has 38 beaches to choose from and many are romantic, secluded and no kids.
