One thing I send to the ones stationed over there that I was stationed with at one time is the following:

Go to Sam's Club or a similar warehouse store.... pick up the ecomomy huge pack of good toilet paper (usually 36 or 48 rolls)....

Also go to a store that sells many types of hot sauce and buy one different bottle for every visible tube in the toilet paper pack.....

Stuff the bottles of hot sauce in the tubes and prepare the whole thing to ship...

We soldiers (and ex-soldier, as I am) love hot sauce and eat it on most everything a chow hall can serve (and especially if we have to eat MRE's).... and we also know that Army issue toilet paper SUCKS.... the guys I send it to really love when I do this

The other cool thing is that by packaging it this way, the toilet paper helps protect the hot sauce bottles from breaking in shipment

try it... you'll get a GREAT reaction from whomever you send it to

They need items such as wet wipes, when they are out in the field,or on patrol,to clean their hands and face from all that grime over there in the middle east. They also would appreciate any homemade items such as cookies. Do not send food items with candles or perfume smelling items. You also cannot send Aerosol can sprays ,it is against postal regulations, but you can send those types of items through another delivery service. The perfume items, and candles, soaps should be sent separately from the food, because the smell will permeate the food items and make them not taste good. If you are going to send food items ,send them separately in a different box. I know that when I was overseas, the best thing I received was home made cookies, and I treasured every last nibble and it reminded me of home. Also home town newspapers were nice ,to read about things in the "real world" as the soldiers call it back here in USA.

Soldiers stationed in Korea can get anything they want. So I would suggest personal items, homemade items etc. Photos of family and friends, homemade cookies, fudge etc. etc. I was stationed in Korea in the 90's, we had a huge PX on post in Seoul and you can get anything you want appliances, cd's, stereos, clothing. You name it they got it. Good Luck with your package. ---Armygirl91---

most important, send them things that remind them of home. They get homesick. They miss their families, they miss their homeland. Send them something that will remind them of what they're going to come home to
