I see kissing as intimate - more so than sex. As a general rule I won't kiss until I get to know a guy. However, if I feel alot of chemistry with a guy I will occasionally kiss on a first date - but that is as far as it goes until I get to know the guy better.

Kissing is extremely intimate for some people and they choose carefully who they are going to become intimate with and when. A lot of women are all about timeing and making sure you are the right guy to kiss at that moment and she wants it to be just the way she imagines.
Personally, i am waiting until my wedding day for my first kiss. No, i'm not a freak, i just believe that there should be substance behind a couple's first kiss.

I didn't kiss on my first date with my current boyfriend, and I didn't kiss my last boyfriend ever. It took me four months before I kissed my current boyfriend. Why? I had never kissed before and I was afraid of goofing up. I wasn't sure I could trust myself not to let things go too far (I'm a Christian and am committed to abstinence until marriage). I didn't know if kissing was gross, or how people could enjoy it. Some girls wait to kiss because they are afraid of putting themselves out there and getting hurt. If you ask me, it is a legitimate fear.

Yeah a lot of girls dont kiss on the first date b/c they dont want to rush anything....And it makes them feel more safe around the guy. So take it slow on the first date w/ a girl cause she'll respect you for it.

They dont like the idea tht the boy could be using them for a snog..
They want 2 keep you keen, not jst kiss on the 1st date..
I personally love a snog on 1st date.. But other girls are diff..

Think about it...You are a complete stranger! I am not in the habit of kissing strangers until I get to know the person better and feel more comfortable.

normally i wouldnt kiss on the first date. probably just because you dont know enough about the guy and you dont know if hes a player or not.

Most girls don't, but then again I can't speak for most girls, I can only speak for myself. I personally don't like to kiss or be kissed. Kissing to me is to intimate. I only share my lips with the one I love.

Easy. You two are complete strangers, they probably feel extremely insecure or its weird since they dont even know you.
if you guys arent strangers, they probably dont want to because they dont know if you are ready, or want it.
