Where i used to live there were alot of satanic cults that were always killing animals and having sacrifices.......why do you do that???

Both groups will tell you and us that they are completely different.
The bible explains that they are the same.
While their earthly actions and reactions are different, their end destination is the same. Both have rejected God and been given over to their depraved and darkened heart.
If you would like to read Gods word on this, Please read the book of Romans Chapters one and two.
All who reject God will get their hearts desire, and that is to be given over by the very God they reject to their own thughts and desires.

No Satanist believes in your god or your Satan.
We do NOT worship Satan!
We do NOT harm animals!
There has NEVER been one single proven case of a Satanic cult killing, be it human or animal.

The satanist believes in God, the atheist doesn't.
Atheism is not incumbently evil. You can disbelieve in God and still believe in the importance of goodness.
These 'Satanist' cults you're talking of are sacrificing animals to worship the Devil. I guess they don't remember the Jewish tradition of sacrificing animals to worship God. Or maybe they do.
I believe much of what they do are for 'shock and awe' effect and are just rebeling against a soceity they feel rejected by.
I am, I think, Agnostic - I want there to be a God but I doubt. I recognize, though, if there is no God, it is even more important to be a good and nice person. And to treat others kindly.

first off, real satanists do nothing of the sort--that kind of crap is done by rebellious high school kids who have outgrown tombstone tipping and tagging--the only real difference between a satanist and an athiest is that satanists worship shameless self promotion and gratification--making the most out of their lives in defiance of christian tenets

Atheist - Someone who does not believe in a God of any kind.
Satanist (Real version) - Someone who focuses on the self and the divine power within his/herself and not the outward divinity of most mainstream religions.
Satanist (media/hollywood/christain version) - Someone who whorships the devil, sacrifices animals and children, drinks blood and all that nonsense.

they are not the same... an atheist does not believe in God, the devil or any spiritual being. A Satanist is a devil worshipper.
