why do you want your kids to act there age?

like 9 yr olds act like 9 yr olds and 13 act like 13 yr olds.

9 year olds often act 3 or 4 or 5. etc 13 year olds often act 3 or 4 or 5, etc. Both often act their ages. They should be acting their own age when they are behaving, not 16 or 20 and wanting priveldges as such and not 5 or 7 or 10 and having tantrums.

It's just an expression, but to want kids to act their own age makes sence Not too young, not too old, but as Goldilocks would have said, just right!

Also, adults can often act 3 or 4 or 5 etc too.

If children are acting younger than their age then it is just plain annoying, its like "been there done that"
If children are acting older than their age then it is just dangerous because they are not developed enough to be acting or doing what they are doing.

because when they are 11 or 12 i,dont want them growing up acting like 2 year old brats

Because it's discouraging if your child is misbehaving and acting younger and you definitely don't want them to act any older because they grow up fast enough.
