I am trying the low carb diet for the first time but I have a few questions... I heard that you should keep your carb intake under 20grams a day?
I am going to stick to eating veggies and meat, mostly chicken, and staying away from pasta, bread, rice, ..ect.
The only veggies that I really like are green peas, lima beans, green beans, and corn. But according to some research I have done, these veggies are high in carbs...
Would the diet work if I ate these veggies, and still cut out the "white carbs." bread...ect..
And what about sweet tea? Im assuming the sugar in it is bad?
If someone can give me a quick rundown on this diet I would appreciate it....

Those vegetables are higher in carbs, but with low carbs diets you have to stick with them for life to be able to lose the weight and keep it off. You are better off sticking to good carbs like the ones found in vegetables and whole grains. For example brown rice instead of white, sweet potatoes instead of plain, whole wheat bread instead of white... (Basically if it's white, don't eat it)
As far as sugar goes, you really should stay away from it. If you really want your sweet tea, make it with Splenda istead of sugar. You probably won't even be able to tell the difference.

good day. nicely, I heavily doubt it really is conceivable to have a healthful - even reasonably healthful - foodstuff routine with genuinely no carbohydrate intake. You a minimum of choose vegetables and some fruit in case you opt for to maintain balanced actual applications. Why? because vegetable and fruit have the fiber necessary for your digestive device. besides, eating too a lot protein with out something else may bring about kidney failure, that's, as you may likely anticipate, not very solid. Even Atkins, it really is a company enforcer of the low-carb. coverage, facilitates twenty grams of carbohydrates each and each day - or perhaps which couldn't seen very chance-free for one's body. yet for a truly-low carbohydrate foodstuff routine, right here's I list of ingredients i'd propose: sparkling meat (lean is your ideal wager), fish, fowl, unsweetened dairy and tofu; raw nuts (except chestnuts); maximum vegetables (note:circumvent legumes, potatoes, carrots, yams, beans and beets. try eating more desirable eco-friendly vegetables -broccoli, eco-friendly peppers, Brussels Sprouts, etc.); "low-carb" products (see label/foodstuff label); some fruit (small quantities of lemon or lime, rhubarb, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries); vegetable/olive/canola/sunflower oil; butter (yet attempt to bypass straightforward on the butter). As for chocolates, you would possibly want to attempt (and that i can not believe i'm even suggesting this) utilising Splenda man made Sweetener (below one gram of carbohydrates in protecting with kit. each and each and every kit has the wonder of two teaspoons of sugar) because many standard chocolates will maximum in all probability contain sugar or fructose, that are, in reality, carbohydrates. yet, a more desirable answer will be to apply very sparse quantities of sugar or fructose (or honey) or to circumvent the ordeal altogether. also, drink countless water - a minimum of 8 glasses an afternoon in case you opt for to eat a countless protein. P.s. yet i believe that once you're searching basically to loose some weight, you'd be more desirable off basically eating a balanced foodstuff routine of lean protein, complete grains, end result and vegetables, small quantities of vegetable oil or butter and the occasional sweetmeat and do 1/2 an hour to an hour of exercising each day.

A book called Carbohydrate Addict is a great one. Think it can answer all of your questions and give you some ideas on how to build your meal plan for the day. It has menus and carb values for all food groups. I have the book and it is great. You can get one cheaply on eBay or amazon.
