They hate homosexuality. Of course, they misunderstand their scripture...

Two hates don't make a love my friend. Hate is hate. It's wrong to hate. If people that are "fundies" hate gays than that is wrong. But if you are angry at "fundies" because they hate gays then you put yourself on the same leves as those who hate gays. I suggest you open up to God to deal with what you feel. After all that is all you have control of. If others hate - you can't change that.
As far as the answer to your question. There are some "fundies" that hate the people that are gay and that is wrong. But there are some Christians who hate that behavior and lifestyle. You can love a person and be against their behavior.

They probably are reluctant to move to Iran because in Iran, being a fundamentalist Christian makes you as much of an aberration and deviant as if you were homosexual in a fundamentalist Christian dominated community. God forbid that Christian fundamentalists receive the same hate and persecution they foist upon others.

Why move period? it's not the fact that "Gayness" should be a hatred issue but however "Gayness" is a sin. Why do you think God made Adam and Eve instead of just Adam and Adam?

Are you kidding? All the women there have to cover up, they'd have to look at other men all day!

Wait, what's that? Homophobics might actually be gay themselves? Perhaps this is true, they did do a study on it: http://www.oogachaga.com/downloads/homophobia_and_homosexual_arousal.pdf
