Religious fundamentalists interest in science certainly does not arise from natural curiosity, or an honest endeavor to find what is true about the natural world. Instead, fundamentalists meddle in science because they know by undermining its credibility, or at least by positing an “alternative” to it, they will diminish the efficacy of the single most combative force to religious claims.

Fundamentalists as a rule don't like science because it continually disproves their religion. Fundies in power tend to drain monies away from scientific research.

You obviusly did not study seince or medication, most advancements in medicine has been made by Christians, not muslims. Not only this but, Galliao, Newton, Jefferson, Edison, Pastuore, and many other scientists were devot Christians and denouced athieism. Also, muslims are far more fundamental then Christians.

The part of "science" you're talking about seems to be trying to disprove God's word (the Bible) and His very existence. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools". Romans1.
