Its only a dollar store toy, but if the car is pushed hard enough, some of the sparks come out. Obviously I am throwing the car away, but those could burn him right? Or start a fire?

There are some little toy cars that create "static electricity"
That sounds like what you may be describing..and it is safe..it shouldn't burn you, or start a fire...

These kind of toy cars you can put your hand by the sparks and you will feel no heat ...no problem..it is just to "spark" (a little play on words!) the child's imagination...make them able to pretend that it is real!!!!

how ever... you need to make sure that all toys are age appropriate.

My Dear Ms. Penny, I am sorry to hear somebody backed into your ride with enough force to do that much damage. If the upper tie rod and side rail were damaged, I would also suspect a bent frame, which is going to make accurate wheel alignment impossible. It is also possible your speaker could have been damaged, but I'm wondering if the dashboard was also replaced and what you have is not, in fact, your original speaker. It may also be the mounting screws are loose. The brake light is most likely a burnt out bulb that may have occurred prior to losing the age old argument about two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. I sincerely hope you are not terribly attached to your set of wheels, because it may very well be time for a new one. A body and fender shop is just that - body and fender.

If you're not feeling safe about it then throw it away!
Go to a normal toy store and get him a car he can push and does not give off any sparks.

those aren't like hot sparks and are only created using friction, if the car has a case around it, your son will be fine, unless you spark gasoline like 35 times it won't start a fire either, unless he's super attached though it won't hurt him if you throw it away

Get real. Put your hand in front of these sparks and you will see they don't have enough heat to cause any damage. It's the same pyrite friction action as for a lighter, and that can barley ignite fuel vapor.
