Bonsai trees are alot of work. Will that responsibility make her feel like I'm moving too fast? She really wanted to go but she couldn't and she's bummed about it so I thought I would give her something that's Japanese to cheer her up

That's a really wonderful idea. You could give her a card with it that says something about how patience is the key to developing a beautiful bonsai tree, and you know that with patience she will one day get to take her longed-for trip to Japan (and that you are rooting for her all the way.)
You are a sweetie. I love this idea.

"Bonsai" is a Japanese word that simply translates to "tree in a pot." It is not a lot of work, so I think it may cheer her. You might want to look at my website where I do all my own bonsai trees.... www.american-bonsai.com . Be very careful to get the particular species of tree for either inside or outside to fit your needs. Let me know if you need more help in deciding wchoat@american-bonsai.com

Bonsai Kittens..... heavily even with the indisputable fact that, many trees works. i'm not sure what Serrissa Foetida appears like if allowed to advance wild, yet it relatively is a bush. My very own known is Acer Pamultam even even with the indisputable fact that it relatively is a tree.

Give her something else to take her mind off Japan, like a kitten.

I think she'd like it and think it was sweet. Plus all the work needed to take care of it may help keep her mind off missing her trip.
