OMG, CALL THE DOCTOR.... THIS IS CONTAGIOUS and needs to be eradicated for your child's sake!

I would call the doc first to see if it okay to put inside her rear. If it is okay, I would apply the stuff ASAP. It spreads fast. I got rid of my ringworm, but the damn thing reappeared when I was around a cat. It goes away quickly. So do not fret my dear..ringworm is not that serious unless it gets BIG. I am pretty sure you know this, in case you don't...remember to clean bedsheets, towels, and try not to catch it. Skin on skin contact..

If it really is ringworm, he is only going to tell you to get some anti fungal cream to put on it, and to keep everything clean. Like bedding and undies. Plus be generous with putting it on. Some people don't put enough of the medication on it. Never cover it though. Clothing is ok, but no bandages.

My 9 y/o just was diagnosed with this New Year's eve, in the ER for a different reason, doc said to use Lotrimin (I got generic just as good I think) and apply twice daily for a month. Due to her young age check with doc as far as how many times a day.

If you dogs, I was told to get them checked since they can reinfect the kids.

Try the lamisil first. All he'll do is prescribe an anti-fungal cream also.

There are other things that may look like a ring worm also, such as pityriasis rosea.

So just be aware of that.

seriously, if I was positive it is ringworm then I would treat it myself with an anti fungal cream, if it doesn't clear up then I'd call or visit doc but choice is yours, do what you feel is best and good luck.
p.s. you should really find the source and treat also.

Take her to the doctor. Please. It may not be ringworm and even if it was they should have given you something better than Lamisil. Good luck.

You aboviouslyu have pets or let your child hang where pets do. Keep her away from animals and pools and what have you and take her to the docotr. I don't understand why parents with very young children take chances with their stupidity and their childrens health in the same drop of a hat. Get rid of that nasty dog or cat so your child will be well. Which is more important? Your kid or a mutt or pussy?

I would call her doctor because of the places where she has them (close to her anus). Ringworm is catchy and can spread. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure it's the same stuff that they prescribe...maybe a weaker mix that prescription, but it should work.
