Ok, this is a trade secret. Promise not to tell anyone? I mean really promise? Every restaurent I have worked in uses it, and if the secret gets out, we might be ruined.
1 packet ranch dressing mix.
1 tub sour cream.
The size depends on your tastes. Generally, a 5 lb container of sour cream gets a packet to make 1 qt ranch dressing.
Feeling adventerous? Add garlic. Maybe top with chopped tomatoes. Diced scallions (spring onions) add color, while fruit of any kind is to be avoided. There is no way this is going to be healthy, so don't try it...
Chop up some bacon, and add THAT to the mix. We even once added bleu cheese, and boy was that a party...literally. Thankfully, as a cook, I didn't have to actually EAT it...
But it all comes from the sour cream and ranch dressing mix.

Ok girl I have a couple. I've made these for little partys and no one could stay out of them.....
Dill Dip
2/3 cup HELLMANNS MAYO (no substitute)
1/3 cup sour cream
1 Tbsp. Parsley or 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes (I use the flakes)
1 Tbsp. dried onion
1 tsp. Dill Weed
1 tsp. Lawrys Season Salt
1 tsp. Accent
1 tsp. Wortceshire sauce (however you spell that)
Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. The recipe is better after it sets overnight in a airtight container. I would make a double batch or maybe a triple batch though because it goes fast.
Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip
4 oz cream cheese
4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups sour cream
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese
1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped coarse
1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and squeezed dry
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. Tabasco
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1. Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 400 degrees. Microwave the cream cheese in a large bowl on high power until very soft, 20 to 30 seconds. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
2. Transfer to a greased 1-quart baking dish or a 13x9 inch dish. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
I hope you enjoy those! Good luck!

1 pint sour cream (get good quality stuff)
1 envelope onion soup mix (DON'T use 'golden onion soup')
stir soup mix and sour cream together far enough ahead to let the onion bits rehydrate -- a few hours will do
serve with ridged chips
OR
crumble some bleu (blue) cheese as much as you like
mix with _small_ curd cottage cheese
add a _small_ amount of mayo or similar white salad dressing
stir but don't break the cheese chunks up any more than you did when you crumbled the original block
goes very well with corn chips like Fritos or Scoops and some strong-tasting grape wine..we use MD believe it or not, and it's pretty good. Chianti would do just as well.
Have fun at the game!

Great cheese dip recipe!
Brown 1 to 2 lbs hamburger or sausage(meat is optional).
In crockpot, combine: One 2lb box of velveeta cheese, 2 cans of nacho cheese soup, 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup, and 2 cans of Rotela's (tomatoes/peppers - in canned veggie aisle - we usually use the original, but there is also a mild and hot). Add the browned meat - or not, as I've made this without and it's still very good. Serve with favorite tortilla chips.

i have by no ability had taco meat in layered mexican dip. So i wager if it really is pro w/ taco seasoning, then no, do no longer positioned it contained in the bitter cream. yet guy, I dearly love Fritos dipped into bitter cream that has had a packet of taco seasoning stirred into it and allowed to sit down contained in the refrigerator for an afternoon or so. Mmm! perchance bypass the beef and basically season up the bitter cream! :-)
