i am thinking of starting my own daycare. i have a 2 year old daughter and not working. i want to be a stay at home mom. but i also want her to have someone to play with which i am not ready to let her have a younger sibling just yet. lol. i am just trying to get a idea for a price i could charge.
Another question. would you send you child to a 23 year old mom without a liscence?

Roughly $8.00 an hour. You would do fine if your doing fine with your daughter, best of luck. Take care. - Luke

i pay 175 a week for one child full time, i personally would rather have a licensed daycare, not even out of a home, unless i know the person. what you could do is offer people you know to tell people they know that you are offering to watch other ones. Alot of people would prob definitely need you and would probably trust the word of mouth of a mutual friend. I think it would be a great thing to offer. Just figure the cost of meals, if youre going to wash any of the kids dirty clothes, toys, and the cost of cleaning products you'll go through weekly and figure out a price that suits the both of you. GOOD LUCK!

I pay $130 for full time daycare a week in the Twin Cities. I would not bring my daughter to someone unlicensed (unless it was someone I knew and trusted) because they have not been CPR trained, and they are not monitored by the state. I would suggest contacting your city to find out the requirements to be licensed if you really want to do daycare...it's pretty easy and not very expensive.

My son would not presently flow to daycare yet my SIL has to pay $80 an afternoon for daycare for my nephew who's 18 months previous. it is outrageous right here. it really is somewhat not even a intense end one both. they are even better intense priced in some parts.

No offense, but I would make sure they had a license, plus you need to have your home inspected by the Health Dept to make sure it is safe. Just make sure you a certified in infant/ toddler CPR if you do this. Oh and I have paid from 55 to 135 a week for daycare, depends on where you live really. I was in the USMC, so it was more expensive around there

I pay $110 per week for my three-year-old, but that's also with a small discount because I work for a large local corporation. Everyone should be licensed to run a daycare, I think that is a requirement in most states.

I pay $35.00 per day at a family daycare. Why wouldn't I send my child to a 23 yr old without a licence...you still have to be registered and inspected.

The age of the parent is not an important factor.I was 23 with my first child.Just make certain you have references. If no previous experience, use neighbors, church members...

Depending on where you live is how you can set your price.Call on 5 in-home cares and do some math on getting a comparable rate.

I pay $200/week for a licensed day care out of someone's home. I would never trust my child with someone that wasn't licensed, unless I knew them and trusted them personally. Why? A license ensures (a) the care-giver has taken classes in early childhood development, (b) the care-giver is CPR certified, (c) the center is safe for children, and (d) any complaints are on-file with the license-granting institution.

I don't have kids but all my friends do and one runs an unlicensed day care. She says she tried to be fair and after she got into she realized she charged way to little. Not to mention the time she lost with her son. She now only takes care of 4 other kids besides her boy. She has said that it will be the little stuff that will nickle and dime you. Snacks, cough medicine, diapers it was killing her. Think about it all....
