We have a timeshare and it has worked really well for us.

We trade every year and usually are able to get to the location we want.

it is not for everyone. Generally it's good if you always want to go to the same resort every year, or,

If you can plan ahead and bank and request early early early.

I suggest going to the timeshare users group and studying the forums and information there.

best,

cez

U only can use it when others aren't. It is an investment if nothing else. U have a place 2 go generally twice a year, some R just once. When U get tired of it & U will U can always sell it. Not a bad thing however not the best. U can make $ on it if U keep it a few years & it's in a good location. Hope this helps you.

the person that I know that owned one had a hard time trying to sell it after her husband died and she no longer used it. She finally had to sell it at a loss. Those monthly maintenance costs were a big factor for her wanting to sell it. Her timeshare was in Orlando, Fl

We have one in Antigua. Want to buy it? For almost what it costs in maintenance fees every year, which have gone up every year since we bought it, you can just call a resort in the area and book where you want to stay.

So no, I would not buy one. Of course, we've had plenty of luck trading into lesser units. To me the bigges scan ever.

Of course, it would make since if you wanted to go back to the same place over and over again every year.

i don't own one but i have looked into it before. i would like to own a time share but right now i can't afford it. it is nice for someone who has the money and can get away each year for a vacation. you build points also so after so many years you will get a free vacation. the flight and all!!!

I would not get into that. It forces you to stay at a certain place,at a certain time. Better to buy a R.V. or travel trailer, and go where you wish.
