i do the Root 66 race series in New england and am in the begginner league. i was sponsered by 661 last year and applied again for this year. how do i get other sponsers? i feel like i can progress to the next level but i cant afford a new bike. i want sponsers to get dicounts so i can buy new parts. know what i mean?

You probably need to get a few more races under your belt. Not all bike related companies are looking for only top finishers. Experience and a willingness to represent their company in a positive way will give you a shot at getting some sponsorships.

Try your talking to some local bike shops, also check out the KHS sponsorship program for a good idea of what it takes to get sponsored.

You have to knock on doors, especially if you are an unknown. You also have to perform and win races or at least finish in the top ten. Knocking on corporate doors, making appointments to see the boss and selling yourself is the key!

id say if you are putting the sponsored guys to shame then they should want to sponsor you.

Try www.sponsorhouse.com they hook you up with sponsors and you get pretty good discounts.
