The holy spirit is God's active force, its the dynamic energy he uses to carry out his will and strengthen his people.
A comparison of Bible texts that refer to the holy spirit shows that it is spoken of as 'filling' people; they can be 'baptized' with it; and they can be 'anointed' with it. (Luke 1:41; Matthew 3:11; Acts 10:38) None of these expressions would be appropriate if the holy spirit were a person.
It says in Genesis it says that God's spirit was passing to and fro over the surface of the water. It was holy spirit that he used in creating the earth and everything in it. Holy spirit is not equal to God or Christ, it is a tool that they used.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that "the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." so the holy spirit is not a ghost. ghosts don't exist. also read Ecclesiastes 9:10.

The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit, and when you become a believer in Jesus Christ, He (Holy Spirit) joins up with your spirit (the spirit of life) and opens the doors of communication between you and God the Father.
He's real, and He's awesome!
The Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside you when you are "born again". You are changed.
No one understands this until it happens to them. People will doubt, mock, criticize -- until it happens to them.
The Holy Spirit is a Helper, a Comforter, a Guide.

actually the ghost and evil creatures on scooby doo were all proven to be "hoaxes" and criminals who pretended to haunt other people into believing lies and to cover up sinister plots and what i Know to be called secret combinations.
The holy spirit may not be the same thing as the HOLY ONE who is a GHOST/spirit being and the third part of the godhead.
The holy spirit/ghost is the one we are to follow when preaching the gospel of jesus christ that will lead us into ALL truth and give us comfort when our souls are poor in mind and in spirit.
i dont believe the holy spirit is a DRUG, that many crafts use to prove to individual people that they have the truth. becaues they experience a euphoria in their mind and blood chemistry.
I think the Holy Ghost can do that all by himself. and that ministering angels will do it too. I dont know if any mortal humans can practice such power in any degree of righteousness or with correct discernment and judgment.
but I do see that people think they are moved upon by the SPIRIT when they are actually intoxicated by poisons and narcotics in the air they breathe.
The HOLY Ghost has form and appearance. But then again So does Satan, after he can appear as angle of light, or as jesus described him as appearing as lightning. But then again So do the holy angels come and go in the presense of the throne of God in thunders and lightnings. it is the way they can travel from one place to another. The holy ghost therefore can appear as person of Light TOO as well, or he can appear as hologram like in a matrix or virtual reality.
Angels have appeared to me in like manner as well. and its possible that heaven, is a separate Virtual reality where the spirit can exist in a peaceful place of light and communion.
but most of this in hypothesis from Popular culture and mixxed with traditional teaching and personal experience(s).

The Holy Spirit is what Jesus left for us to help us along the way. He is friend, counselor and healer and so much more. Its great when you can feel Him inside you and beside you. He is a real Spirit, Gods Spirit. Ask Him for help in any way or any time and He will direct you.

He's sweet and gentle...also powerful i mean christianity moves from religion to relationship with Christ by the POWER of the Holy Spirit...the Power isn't crazy...its being plugged into the source all you were supposed to be connected to to function and helps you find purpose to life:)

Separate office of the G-d Head (Father, Son and Spirit). It's like the connection between your modem and your ISP. Is that simple enough? The Ruach Ha Kodesh (ruach=breath Kodesh-Holy) indwells believers and teaches them truths from G-d's words, he supplies inspiration to us as we need it to carry out our work. He it is also that convicts us of our sins against the father.

when jesus ressurected he told his disciple that he would be leaving to heaven but in his place would be the holy spirit and that he would be with them and in them
