Ban the dogs from the bedroom until you are better, their hair and dander will aggravate your chest. If hubby objects...ban him too lol;

Wow your husband sounds a real charmer! Someone smoking around you is dangerous even when you are healthy. Far too many people die from passive smoking (being in the same room as a smoker). As for the dogs in the bedroom- unless you have asthma I don't know of any medical reasons for them not being there but the smell and noise would drive me to distraction. they should have pet beds downstairs then they could warn you of intruders or more importantly a fire-much more likely with a smoker in the house!!! Hope you get well soon.

Smoking is a big no no with chest infections,
Ask or tell your hubby if he must smoke to go out side and take the dogs with him,
I have a dog and he is band from the bedroom no way should you have to put up with those dogs with you in your bedroom.
you must take your meds as prescribed and finish the course if you want to get better.
I have copd and will never get better i just have to try and look after my self and avoid all the things that may irritate my condition, i have to take very strong meds that also include taken steroids .
Hope you get better soon,

well for starters you need to sit your husband down and explain a few things to him, the first being that successful marriage requires respect of each other and each others body. The smoking habit needs to be moved outside full time, or stopped completely as this is surely a large contributing factor to your illness. also dog dander is a major cause for breathing discomfort and problems in people with respiratory illnesses. The bedroom is first and foremost a place to be shared by you and your husband, and should be a place of comfort to both of you. if the dogs being in the room is causing issues for you and your health, than you need to adress this problem and have the dogs put out of the bedroom, the dogs do not have as much right to be there as you. explain that this is a health issue for starters, and if the dogs in his opinion have as much right to be there as yourself, that you are changing rooms, and he can sleep with the dogs.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and I can tell you for a fact that he should NOT smoke around you, he has made things worse by doing so. As for the dogs I don't agree with any animal in the bedroom especially dogs. i also had this problem with my husband but I put my foot down and said no. Its not healthy to breath in the same air as an animal in a closed room all night unless you have the window open.Its to late and would not be fair to the dog to throw it out now I'm afraid. If you do you could have a lot of problems with the animal later on.

Take your tablets as prescribed. Then make haste to a divorce lawyer.
