The water in my coffee maker doesn't get too hot. It's ok, but it can be better. I was wondering.... Can I boil water on my stove and pour it into my coffee maker? Will it destroy any parts of my coffee maker? Will the water be too and melt anything? Any and all answers would be greatly appreciated...

Putting hot water into your coffee maker would do damage to its working parts. Sounds like your heating element has reached the end of its useful life and it would be best to purchase a new coffee maker.

Most coffee makers use cold water. They don't work when you pour hot water into them. Your best bet is to buy a new coffee maker.

You probably could . If your going to go throough all that trouble though I would either buy a new coffee machine or go invest in a french press . I know Gevalia has a program on if you join there coffee club the send you a free coffee pot . I have one and it works awsome and even reheats the coffee too . There coffee itself tastes awsome to . I also know you can pick up a french press around $10.00 at target or walmart . It is your call .

Here is the website for gevalia though .

when we go camping out, we take an previous percolater espresso pot with us. you positioned the grounds contained in the right and water contained in the bottom and prepare dinner accurate over the hearth. it really is my advice in case you pick good espresso. it really is sweet, too. If Walmart doesn't promote those, try tag revenues or salvation military shops. you are able to also try a carrying products keep. they could have some thing particular for camping out that i do not learn about for espresso. for sure, there is continuously on the spot if you're desparate. also, contained in the tea/espresso portion of the market you may have the capacity to hit upon what surely is a teabag with espresso grounds in it. the idea is to operate warm water and allow it steep. no longer particular how good it tastes although. In my e book, undesirable espresso is more effective useful than none in any respect. good success!

eliminate one step ditch the coffee maker and get a jar of instant coffe "just add boiling water" i drink both, when it's just me i make a good cup of instant get to make just enough for me :)
might also just need a different plug might not be getting enough power to heat up totally or just get a new perker espicially if it's been used alot they are'nt made to last forever and need to be replaced every 1000 pots (give or take)

Yes you can but why not zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds. I always do this because coffeemakers just don't get coffee hot enough for me.

I guess you could do that, but wouldn't it be easier to just get a new coffee maker....
