I swapped phones within two offices. One set relocated with no problem, keeping all of its programming information (name, extension, etc.). The 2nd phone did not relocate correctly, nor did its programmed information. I know it's something simple, but I can't remember the feature to troubleshoot this error. HELP!!!

First make sure you plugged the telephone sets into the correct jacks, you might have pluged it into a inactive jack by accident. Try moving the phones back to see if they both come back up (dont do anything with the feature codes yet its possible it didnt take it when you entered it.) If that doesn't work move on. If automatic telephone relocation is configured into the system you wont be able to swap phones this way.

Using the 7310
press feature **738
The display shows (show set:)
Enter the internal number of the telephone to be reviewed.
Check to make sure everything looks correct

press feature **5463
The display shows (show line:)
enter the number of the line to be reviewed.
Check to make sure everything looks correct

Do this to make sure the sets are still programmed and programmed correctly.

If that dont work, contact the person who maintains your norstar system. They will be able to reprogram the phone for you. This way there is less likely of a chance of other phones getting messed up.
