Why should it come true, even from your point of view?

If "God" knows everything "God" knows about the suffering in Africa. If "God" wants to heal the suffering, "God" would heal the suffering. If "God" is omnipotent "God" knows all the millions of people who wish for an end to the suffering in Africa. If "God" wants people to be charitable, kind and loving to others, like Jesus wants people to give up all they own to follow him, then why on earth would "God" simply grant a prayer rather than expect people to get off their backsides and actually do something to help bring relief to suffering? Why is "God" supposed to take care of human horrors? Why do humans expect "God" to save them when they do nothing to save themselves or each other?

When will "the children of 'God'" grow up, take some responsibility and become "adults of 'God'"?

Out of the 10000 people that pray there may be one or more that pray according to His will and yes the prayer will be answered, but it may not come the way people expect. All things are possible with God.

The purpose of prayer is not to get things or to make things happen. Prayer is an expression of our relationship with God. Sometimes in that relationship we ask for things or for things to happen, but our praying dows not make it happen.

The purpose of prayer is not even to let God know what we want; He already knows. The purpose of prayer is to express what is in our hearts. God, being omniscient and omnipotent, will either say "yes" or "no".

Regarding more aid to Africa, God's answer to this prayer may be to inspire and encourage others to give more aid to Africa. The problem is that the people that God is talking to may not be listening.

Prayers are always answered, it is not for us to decide how or in what time. And guess what, Much aid is going to Africa, why don't you adopt a child to sponsor through Christian Children's Foundation?

They are daily. We get those signs everyday from people who are and aren't christians. All you have to do is pray it up, God will grab your request. But when you pray pray in the right spirit also. Don't pray to God in an attitude as"what kind of God are you letting people go through this,a dnthen pray God help them. He know are thoughts. So come to Him humbly and make your petitions. God answers prayer.

You know, put an s at the end of that sentence and you got something a little offensive.

No, it will happen when those people actually get off their @sses and do it. (africa is a big continent and believe it or not - some of those countries are rich - some aren't)

No.....Bush is still the president.

Sorry

Thousands of churches are praying for the people in Africa and it's still a disaster there.

The people in the rest of the world can pray but that alone will not help.....they also need money and people willing to give of themselves.

Not necessarily.
I mean, if 10,000 ppl prayed for something not in line with God's will, then it won't happen.

But if for Africa to get more aid, God will answer it.

The gods help those who help themselves - or in this case, who don't just sit there praying but who get off their butts and look for a way to help.
