I agree with "alexschwa...", Talk to a psychologist. You present signs and symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Contrary to what a lot of people think, PTSD can happen to anyone, not just war veterans. People can suffer of PTSD if they are victims of a crime, related to any of the people involved in the incident, or even if you witness something really bad.

In your case, you are affected because person involved is someone you knew and you were close to that person, and PTSD may be triggered because of that.

Don't wait. Get in touch with a psychologist. If you have any religious prefference, you may also combine psychological help with religious counseling. Best wishes.

You could see a specialist like a shrink if you want to get over your nightmares, talk to friends and family if you don't want to do that and see what they suggest. Why would your boyfriend want to kill a man, did he know this person ,what was his motive? It was a good idea that you no longer be with him, it might be that he could to turn into a serial killer or something. You might want to think about moving if that will help your situation out, and change your phone number so he can't call you. If he is in prison then it will be a long time before he will get out, if not then he needs to be there. You should not be subjected to this and I am sure it is tough. You will get through it. Just say to yourself you are going to get through it and that you will do whatever you have to.

write it down, and go to counseling. And if this is more than just a nightmare, then grab your kids, belongings and move.

First, go to the police with what you know, if you haven't already. Second, Tylenol PM works wonders!

Good Luck!

Talk to a psycologist if these are getting too intense, or if you are eating spicy foods, that may trigger something.
