Hi,

I'm a 21 year old male and for the past 6 or 7 years I have had hair that is very coarse, VERY thick, and very dry. It looks so bad without any product on that I would never DARE leave the house without any gel or something on it.

Its almost like an afro but nowhere near as kool ;)

My question is, can I do anything about this, and if so, how?

Ideally I want to grow my hair longer but it appears to grow in volume (outwards) as opposed to growing down.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Bad Hair Days?
You hair is dry and seems not heavy enough to hang down, lacking something.

Coarse eye brows and hair are a sign of lack of Silicea (homeopathic). You may want to take it often, in purified water (1 ounce), 4 pills in a dropper bottle. Taken at first every few minutes, later less and less often, but at least 5 times a day over long periods of time, may be months or even years. I like to make the mixture more tasty with a bit of apple cider vinegar and brown sugar (tastes like juice).

Silicea is a very important compound in the body, nourishing hair, teeth, bones, brain and skin. When lacking, the eye brows may curl and be coarse, and focussing may be difficult at times (depending on the amount of lack at that time). In other words, Silicea is needed everywhere in the body. Therefore it may take some time to fill the lack inside the body before you may see an improvement of your hair. Patience is needed.

You may also want to make oat meal in the morning, drink green tea and oil your hair with castor oil (health food store) before you wash it. Best would be to oil it slightly by rubbing a drop on your hands and then in your hair, repeatedly, (not much is needed), then cover it and place a towel or plastic sheet on your pillow to leave the oil on your hair over night.

Next day you may wash your hair with a mild shampoo. You may want to use a good conditioner (health food store, reliable brand).

You may also want to try the yolk of an egg, make it into a paste and cover your hair with it. Leave for about 30 minutes, then wash it out. Egg yolk contains lecithin which helps for dry hair.

If you like smoothies, you may want to add 1 teaspoon (or more if liked) of soy lecithin to them. Sunken cheeks are a sign of lack of lecithin, which also benefits the hair. Smoothies can be easily made from rice milk, almond milk with added fruit of your liking and brown sugar. Place all in blender, blend, make it fit your taste. Drink fresh.

Also the liver may not process fat very well so that the hair is dry (there are often fatty pores around the nose at the same time). In this case the Dinshah color Green may be helpful or Milk Thistle (health food store).

Thanks to your hair, you got the message!
Wishing you all good hair days!

I certainly have a needless to say frizzy fro. while it rains there's no wish for it yet as long simply by fact the climate interior reason dry,.... i take advantage of a defrizzing oil to tame the frizz and curl activator to define the curls. I found out, some years in the past, to quit battling against the curl. That replaced into improving the fro result. lol. A hair fabric cabinet cautioned a product with the aid of aveda for curls and specific sufficient, as quickly as i finished battling it and permit it bypass it regarded lots better. Curlier, yet advantageous defined curls seem lots better than the dry frizzy mess I were carrying in previous. you have seen my image. the only with huge hair is organic whether this is after frizz ease and Aveda Be Curly. with out those 2 basic hair products my hair is approximately 6 situations larger and frizzier than my image. lol. There are numerous off manufacturers of those products now. (((((excellent fro)))))

have you ever had your hair chemically straightened? use conditioner, and more importantly, a leave-in conditioner. if you get a good hairstylist, he/she can do hair and scalp treatments that will help with the dryness. also, you can do hot oil treatments at home. they help so much. and cut off the ends that are very badly damaged. that can change alot just by doing that.

get a good conditioner and shampoo, and also one of those intense hair treatment products for dry/damaged hair. you may want to go to the hairdresser and rebond your hair so that it looks neater and easier to manage, and for longer hair, get it cut in layers so that it looks thinner and doesn't explode outwards.

My hair is the same way. I use Paul Mitchell skinny serum and have a Paul Mitchell flat iron. It works miracles on my hair.
