I had two tumors on my left temporal lobe and though the poems sound like a very heart felt gesture, you may want to consider spending the time with her remembering all of the nice you've had together and the ones you have yet to share.

If you would like to discuss some of the changes that occur after the operation, I would be happy to email and even send sites for you to research. My operation was 7 years ago last November.

Best of luck to your Mother and your family.

the poem should come from your heart and if your unable to write a poem, just write her a letter about how you feel about her. Im sure that would mean just as much to her. Im a mother of 3 I would rather have a letter that came straight from my child than a poem made up by someone who didnt even know me. The thought was nice but make it come from your heart. God Bless your MOTHER

Your soft caress, Your loving touch, The warmth of your smile, You give me so much. As days go by, And obstacles cloud my way, I love how you're there, To not let me stray. No matter how bad, How sad I may feel, Just knowing you love me, Makes life so surreal. I write you these words, My mind clear and Calm, Just to let you know, That I Love You, Mom.

How about writing a list of things you love about her. Have the number of items match her age. If she's turning 42 let's say then title your list Forty Two Things to Love About...
Best wishes for her complete recovery.

In the twilight zone
I thought of you last night
mother
in the monlit drops of the sunken lonely night
I gazed at the sulky moon alone
And found your face
more brightened than the glittery moon
with my love for you
mom
more lasting than that blackholed sun....

Poem for Mom

Mom, you have done so much for me
that whole-heartedly I thank thee.

Let me spoil you just this day
and all future time anyway.

To shrink your tumor under your hair,
I wished you tried color, beautiful and fair.

It is easy to use
and powerfull, too,
the tumor may shrink -

I always love you.

Happy birthday!

From me, too,
cordially, India.Magica
