Can we have a few warm days during winter without hearing about "Global Warming"????
What did you people talk about last winter, when we had 25 straight days of below freezing tempatures in my city?
I also seem to remember spending a weekend on a lake last year in June when it was about 50....normally it's in the high 70's around here at that time.
Temperature fluctuations are normal..........but then again, what else should I expect from Al Gore besides doom and gloom........but hey, after all, he DID invent the internet, right? Maybe I should listen to him!
We're living on a big rock that is spinning on an axis and orbiting a huge ball of fire at an amazing rate of speed, all held by the gravity of this fireball that is 91 million miles away........the fact that the temperature on Earth has remained relatively constant for this long amazes me.

well, yes the temperatures were up last week on the east coast, but we here in Virginia are back down near our normal temperatures for January; or at least we are closer.
And try to tell those people in Denver about global warming, where they have had 3 HUGE snowstorms over the past month.
I do believe that global warming is a possibility. But doomsayers aren't necessary, when these can be simple weather fluctuations.

When your president Bush does not care, how do you expect any US citizen to care? People are not rejoicing the warming of the planet, they are rejoicing "good warm" weather in winter! And don't worry, our planet will not disappear in our time.
On a serious note, governments and people in general are not doing enough to arrest the global warming. Everybody is only talking, nobody is acting! Our comforts come at a cost and that cost is global warming. Sad indeed!

It's all about the shifts of el nino and la nina. Yes, we are going through global warming, but the rate is much lower, like half a degree/year over the global average temp (or something small like that). Just because it's 70 in the Mid-Atlantic and North East doesn't necessarily have to do with global warming. It was 32 degrees in the Philly area this morning.

is this global warming or just more of the same weather patterns that have occurred for hundreds of years? Study the weather patterns for this month in NY and you will find that this is not a first - and you can't blame global warming for when it happened before - as it was pre-industrial age then :)

The earth gets warmer just before it enters another Ice Age.
It has done this several times without the help of man.
A single volcano emits more greenhouse gases in a single month than every factory and vehicle on earth does in fifty years.
Turn off Al Gore.
Do not be afraid.

Not one little bit. We're all dying anyway and besides, it's not going to happen in our life times and further more, humans will adapt just like we've done since the beginning of time. I can't wait for it to happen so all the Global Warming nuts will shut up.

I dont understand how you can contribute an unusually warm winter to global warming. Last year was pretty cold, global warming doesnt happen in one year. What about El Nino? Do you watch the news or do you just assume that warm weather = global warming with nothing to back it up.

Which do you care about, 70 deg.F weather in NYC or global warming. They are not related, and no competent climatologist would claim they are.

bring it on.
PS - It's the sun. Not us puny humans. Haven't you heard - our SUVs are not the main cause anymore, according to the know-it-alls. Now it's LIVESTOCK. OK, so all those who said we should outlaw internal combustion engines and go back to horse and buggies, think of all the "horse pollution".
doin my part to help the poor stay warm in the winter.
1 pickup truck, 1 van, 1 SUV, 1 car, 1958 Case tractor, 2 lawn tractors, a large fireplace, and a charcoal grill. I love Exxon.
