God is a spirit and gave man the Earth to dominate it. We have jurisdiction here on Earth not cellestial beings. Why do you think God needed humans to perform the task He needed on Earth. Prayer is another one of those tasks. That's why in intercessory prayer yo can call out names of people you don't even know. The spirit of the Lord gives you as an assignment to throw that person's name into the spirit realm. I guess this is too deep for Yahoo Answers.

You speaking of something that most never come to understand. To the human mind, it seems unlogical, not intellectually stimulating, and almost contradictory to what we have experienced. But that is the very essence of God, that He is a mystery to be explored and to be found, but unfortunately you are a minority in your passion to search for God and to hear God...most are far to wrapped up in themselves to ever see beyond that. Powerful prayer life begins with desire to have one, you're in the right place. if you desire, choose to be different and walk it out.

As a Christian I am just touching the surface of what your talking about here.I have not found it to be though that this is something you carry around like a mantle.Not that it would not be possible. I have experienced that when the need is there, and people are ready to receive what the Holy Ghost has for them. The power is there as well.

I am reading a good devotional that is helping me because it's written as of God is speaking to the reader. It's very moving and a good read. It's helping my spiritual life and my prayer life.

What is the point of God telling you what to pray? That makes even less sense than the story of the Flood.
