When a cat closes its eyes in your presence it shows they are comfortable with you and feel safe. Try doing it back to your kitten-it's a lot of fun. My husband and I have 3 cats and "precious" loves it when we slowly wink back to her. :)

I actually read a book about cats when i got my two kittens because they were doing the same thing. But i noticed they did it every time i sent them a kiss or talked to them and in the book it said that most of the time that means that cats are kissing you back...it's a way of communication...an acknowledgment of your attention. Cats are amazing. I got a new kitten a month and a half ago, and when she is extremely tired and i hold her and talk to her, she just likes to put her paws on my face and just stare at me...they are fun.

Eye movements are a sign of communication as well as vocal and body language. Winking is a common sign of contentment. My cats do it too, I love it. Looks so cute!

he is talking with you. he talks kitty talk and you speak human, but you are still his momms--and he will talk with you. wink back at him. talk to him and tell him what you are doing--he will continue to talk with yo--he will watch you do things--min4 likews to watch me cook.....
he will make noises to you also--meows, clicks and grunts--all normal and kitty talk. you are his momms and he is letting you know how he feels, what is going on in the house--when you come home from doing something away from house and kitty, he will talk to you and tell you what went on all day while you were gone--good luck understanding-but if you know your kitty well, you can figger out what he is saying.

find books on cat communication--they are very interesting critters. your kitty is part of yur family and they are very social...communicate together and enjoy him.
neut3r him befopre he starts to spray or consider you his mate instead of his momms--he should be doing that about now.....
have a good new year with kitty.

I think that's really cute! My kitten doesn't really wink, but his eyes half close when we have 'conversation'.

My cat does teh same thing. It's really cute! He's 14 and doesn't have eye problems, so I've never worried about it.

It's flirting with you. No. I'm only kidding. Something might be bothering it's eye.
