Sounds like you have an enlarged axillary (armpit) lymph node. Your lymph system aid in the fight against infection and helps to drain excess fluid from the body. Have you been feeling sick lately? It is not uncommon for you to have a swollen lymph node or two when fighting an infection.
Keep you appt tomorrow. Your doctor may want to put you a short course of antibiotics depending on what else is going on.

no i don't think you have to worry. Some times when you breastfeed the milk get stuck at one place in milk duct i guess and that's why it feels slippery. In case of cancer, you will feel that lump is hard as if there is a stone inside. So don't worry and let us know what the doc tells you tomorrow.

Lump?
This is my personal view: I assume that it is a hardened and swollen lymph node. Do you have moth balls at home? Any clothing that was onece in moth balls, even before buying it? Best remove and detoxify the clothing and the house (see www.biochakra.com, Hilites archive).
The swollen lymph node condition is listed in the homeopathic handbook, called Materia Medica, composed by two physicians. They give Calcium Fluoratum for hardened lymph nodes. If soft and swollen it is Kalium Muriaticum (health food store). I the latte case the tongue is often also coated whitish or white. You may want to ask your homeopathic or naturopathic physician, since you have a baby, and regular physicians, in general, do not learn about homeopathy any longer.
I myself try the mild things first, they often work within days, or after weeks if the condition is chronic. I also like to work with Color*MedicineTM, which is also harmless when used as recommended.
This is my personal view.
Wishing you the best decision.

I do not think it is cancerous lump, as it is slippery withou pain. It may be only fat accumulation. I am quite sure it is not cancer. Anyway in cancer only we can not take any chance. Hence you can safely remove the lump by a simple surgery and get biopsy done so that we do not give any chance to the disease. Please see a oncologist immediately and he will advise you properly. Please do not neglect as CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA AND WE CAN NOT OVERLOOK IT. Best of luck-

I had lumps in my armpit while breast feeding caused by milk ducts ..they are there also. They have never really shrunk in 29 years either!
However as they are frightening I did have them checked by oncologists several times.

NO---perish the thought. It's just a transient lymphatic engorgement.

I am no doctor, but it is probably swollen and is not cancer. Good luck.
