You are in a position that most people go through in pass relationships. All I can say is that if you have moved on to a new chapter and all you can help yourself move on and lead yourself into better relationships. Whether that person comes to a realisation or not will not make you much more happy. You only want that answer because you have not left completely and entertain that thought so that you can find a way to work it out.
If you are in the position to ask this question, I'd advise you to move on already. Stay happy and forget that selfish past.

Doubtful. Selfish people always justify their actions and do not seem to have the ability to see beyond themselves, all actions and relationships are based around what they can get out of it and when nothing else is on offer they split. Often leaving the other person not just confused but drained of energy.

Selfish people lack understanding. They will only see things from their point of view until the worst case scenario is wrong. I used to date a selfish person. She messed up bad and never admitted her faults. She only chose to look at my faults to make her feel better when she had issues with herself. It was her way of hoping I could "fix" her as opposed to her "fixing" herself.

Seen this happen and they will reaslise it when someone else is benefiting from what they could of had.
You find someone else and they will realise their mistake, but ofcourse by then its too late for them, they will have to live with that mistake.

if they're super selfish, they'll think they're right no matter what. if by some chance they realize they're wrong, they'll become even more selfish to cover up the face that they weren't right. i can't stand people like that.

sometimes they realize they were stupid later.
i have seen it happen.
but usually the person they split with has gone on to other things and doesn't want them back.
people do learn and grow over life.
life can be 80 years long. they may realize it 20 years from now when they are 40.
