I was a first time user and found it to work within 5 minutes. I was out cold. How quickly did it work for you?

It took me about 20 minutes, but only because I would stay up a little while longer talking to my brother. However, the next morning, I had no recollection of the conversation. So, I started just taking them while already in bed, and they took about 10 minutes.

never worked quite that fast for me...
always took me at least 20 minutes (when I first started taking it)
I've been taking Ambien for more than a year.
Now I'm on the Ambien CR 12.5 mg
and it takes at least 30 minutes to get to sleep.

I found them to work incredibly quickly as well, usually inside of 10 minutes. They must virtually melt in your mouth!

I have been on Zolpidem and after a few weeks it stopped working as well and I could not sleep at all without it, you could try a sedating antidepressant like Mirtazapine or Amitriptyline.
