we woke up one morning to the smell of my boxer's piss all over my boyfriends clothes. my boyfriend and i live together and well she only knows us as her family. knowing that, i'm a little confused as to why she peed on his clothes when her bed is next to mine and i have some clothes there too.
any ideas?

the thing is, she belongs to the both of us. he's strict with her cause he doesn't want her to get older and bigger and be all wild. i'm the one who's constantly giving her love, but i'm not very good at discipling her. she hardly ever listens to me cause i'm always affectionate with her. and she loves my boyfriend a lot cause he plays with her..

Your scent was on his clothes-she was covering it with her own-it's him she sees as hers not you! she wants YOUR scent off him!(you may prefer the other answers, but...... )

If it's a constant thing:
1. She may feel some bad energy coming from him, and she's trying to warn both of you that he needs to stop.
2. She may not like him. My husband had a cat who didn't like me, so she'd pee on me while I was sleeping, right next to my husband.
3. She could be closer to him, and she's marking his things as her territory. To let other animals know that he belongs to someone, and to stay away from him.
If it's just a one night thing, then she probly needed somewhere to go, and his clothes seemed like the best place at the time. That happens sometimes.

I also had a male boxer and when he was about 1, he peed on my bf. He was acting like he was going over to greet my bf and he (the dog) was all excited and instead he lifted his leg...
anyway, it is most likely a dominance thing combined with territory tendencies. If it continues to happen seek professional training...which is probably a good idea regardless!

Your dog is only showing that he is claiming your boyfriend as his very own. Marking his territory. Consider it a great compliment cause the dog loves him
This is more common than you would think but people don't understand cause they don't try to look at the world as a dog does. Canine behavior is very interesting.

i might make it so the cats can't get to the clothing. If it fairly is the only place they're peeing close the door the place the clothing are at. That way they might't get there anymore. in the event that they're peeing throughout, then i might shop them in a room without carpets. Then it may be alot extra easy to sparkling up. there's a link to eliminate cat pee smells in case you could not get them out of the clothing. wish this facilitates you.

Because the dog is establishing herself as the pack leader. You call her part of your family, but she is not a human. In her world, she is part of a pack. You must establish dominance over the dog so she knows that you and your BF are the pack leaders. She will stop the bad behaviors.
Watch The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. He's wonderful.

I wouldn't worry if it was a one time thing.
If it continues, it may be because she feels territorial towards you, and wants to protect you.
The only thing you can really do is try to catch her in the act and then scold her.

I think she's marking her territory. She is your dog, not his and I think she's trying to tell him that.
