Is there such an animal?? We are ordering for our broadcast studio at school and would like to have a Camcorder that uses regular sized DVDs... What is the best camcorder that is 1,000.00 or under?? It will be used by severely inexperienced to experienced users... Thanks!!

The best DVD camcorder is the one you leave on the store shelf. DVD camcorders are unreliable, difficult for many people to use and are on the top 10 list of most returned electronics goods.
For school use, I would recommend a MiniDVcamcorder. This is by far the most robust and reliable camcorder style on the market.
