I believe that the tunnel that is spoken about is like a passage way between this life and the next.

when people have been considered to have after life experiences through NDEs they have usually had similar experiences to others
i think there are ten signs of an NDE and normally people tick off about 4 or 5 of these ... some even have experienced all ten
the dark tunnel , the light at the end , meeting people you know , feeling of euphoria , being told to go back , meeting angelic or higher being etc
the tunnel is thought to be the most commonly reported though

They have a near death experience, They don't die and come back. The ones that see a light think they are going to heaven but they see a light over the operating table. The ones that see a dark tunnel are in a deep sleep and when the wake up they think they were on their way to hell. There's supposedly a light at the end of a tunnel. I don't know, and don't want to find out first hand.

None. The "tunnel of light" they experienced is cause by a group of neurons all flashing together due to hypoxia in the brain.
This phenomenon can be studied easily in controlled environment experiments.

Sorry, it has nothing to do with middle eastern tales and legends, it is just biology (again !).

what ı saw was a tunnel but it was not dark. after ı gave birth ı had little travel through that but thanks god ı am back. beside according to my religion (islam) we believe we dont go to hell or heaven when we die. we will go when everything will be over and everbody will go at the same time. till then soul lives in place called barzah. some other dimension btw earth and heaven or hell.

There is no heaven, nor is there a hell.
They are both imaginary places like Oz or Narnia.
The "tunnel of light" has been proven to be the effect of oxygen starvation on the brain. Nothing more.
