You need to draw a line. You don't have to be mean but seriously even when you are in a relationship you are still two different people. She can not expect you to drop you life and everything that is important to you and if she does then that ain't good. I am a woman and I have never understood that either. You need to tell her that you have responsibilities that you need to attend to. Let her know that you do like (or love) being around her at every chance, but that you need to able to take care of stuff. Have you tried to include her with your friends and family? You don't have to take her every time you go over, but she may feel more at ease if you include her sometimes. Just as she should include you in some of her adventures with friends and family. Try it and see if she losens her grip a bit. You would be surprised how quickly she may when she fully understand how you feel about her and that you do want her around but you want her to be able to have some "girl" time with her friends. (HINT HINT HINT).

i think that the best thing to do is to try to find a balance between yor previous life and your girlfriend.i know that it is hard, but your friends and family are also very important for u,so u must keep up with everything.a girlfriend may leave u one day,but your true friends and family, never!

I'm a girl but i know what you mean. my boyfriend would never leave my side some times when he would leave and come back i would turn the t.v up and acked like i couldn't hear him. just so i can have some alone time. i even talked to him about it but that even didn't work if you love her try to talk to her if not let her go. she'll come around.

We try to get together as often as we can. This includes chatting online when we can't be together. Love is a wonderful thing.

i am not a guy, but yes. my boyfriend and I have been doing this for 5 years. we might as well live together. i'm so use to it, it's hard for me to go to sleep without him being there. you would think we would get tired of each other, but we don't. we hardly ever fight.

I feel you. I live with my girlfriend, so its even harder to live "my own life."

You need to ask yourself if you see yourself with that girl 40 years from now, if so, continue securing your love with her.
