It changed for some reason, and even when I went Windows Media Player and checked to see if "make Windows media player the default player for these types: mp3, etc..." was still checked, it was. But whenever I click on an mp3 it opens with Nero. And I don't know how to change it. Perhaps I have to uncheck something in Nero? I can' t even get into a menu for Nero, all it has is the skin... please help!

Right click on the mp3 ,click on open with .... make sure the box is checked that says "always use this to play.."

Many programs have an option to automatically change the file extension associate. Look for something like that in nero..
However, you can manually change the file association. Just go out to windows explorer and find an mp3. hold down shift and right click the mp3 file. choose open with from the drop down box that appears. It should give you a list of programs, choose select program. find windows media player (or your preferred mp3 player) and highlight it. Before clicking ok, make sure "Always use the selection program.." is checked. When you click OK, the mp3 and any other mp3s you load should open in the program you selected.

hi,
try this. right click on an mp3 file, click on properties. here you can see the default program that will open the file, click on the change button. now you can chose what program to open the file with, chose media player or whatever you want to, right under the list is a box saying' always use this program on this file' make sure it is checked. click on apply and ok and you should be ok. otherwise, uninstall nero, reinstall it, and right before the end of installation, you can chose what files nero chould play. uncheck all files and you will be good to go.

You can shift+right click on any mp3 file. You can see a new option now in the list called "open with.." choose this option. In next screen choose you desired program from the list given their.
shift+ right click> open with> choose program> winamp or windows media player
Check the box below "Always use the program....."
Job done.
(You should restart your PC after this.)

Open another media player and go into its options/preferances and have it associate all file types with that player.

No concerns bro maximum ideal click it .it says open with click it .then a option occurs and choose a default software.otherwise visit regulate panel and choose default classes and choose your video information and choose your default software

remove the full version and downloand and install free se edition just for ripping and burning.
