Last night my girlfriend and I were arguing over something dumb, and as she became extremely upset, she told me she was pregnant!! I asked her how she knew for sure and she said she took 2 home pregnancy tests; one 2 days ago, and one 8 days ago. She even said she would show me the tests. I went with it and asked her to come to the grocery store with me to get another test (i bought 2) to verify before we jumped into anything any further. I watched her take the test and it came up NEGATIVE! She refused to take a second test in front of me and said that her thyroid medication would effect the results. Now this morning, she says she threw away the first two positive tests, so now I could not see them. I am 99.9% sure she is lying to me about this "pregnancy", only because she has lied to me in the past. Why would anyone lie about such a thing though? Please give me your advice! Thanks!

well she could be lying because for some reason she maybe under the impression that she is close to losing you so she may think that by lying about being pregnant you might feel sorry for her,treat her better and stay with her however i know you are thinking there is nothing good about a lying b*tch and if she lied about that then what else do she have up her sleeve well i could not agree with you more but at the same time love will make you do and say some crazy things and if she has a history of lying and you are truthful then you may just deserve something better but maybe she loves you so much and wants your baby so much that she will lie about it so you can either find someone better which may take forever or you can talk it out and give her the baby her soul desires but maybe you are not ready for that or you just don't want that with her than you should share those feelings with her and find a nicer way to explain it to her however she is a good liar well at least she thinks she is give her *ss an ultimatum either she change her lying ways or you will change her for someone better

Thyroid meds should not intefere with a pregnancy test. If you want proof, go to the hospital's free clinic and have her get a pregnancy test.
For you, she probably isn't pregnant, so if you stay together make sure you use protection every time. She could just be saying she's pregnant to hold on to you, thinking that you might not use protection because you think she's already pregnant. Then she could get pregnant.

Well some women lie about pregnancy to keep a guy from breaking up with her. But usually they end up on Jerry Springer or Maury.
Pregnancy test are extremely accurate. If she is saying that her thyroid or is messing it up, she should take you with her to her doctor to be 100% sure.

Yeah it sounds like she is desperate and trying to hold on to you listen my ex sis in law had a thyroid problem and her test came back positive still no medications that I am aware of can do that then again I am no DR either LOL

She could be lying to you in an attempt to get you to stay with her. Its stupid to think like that, but young girls arent that bright when it comes to relationships. Medications can cause the results to be off... Best idea is to go to planned parenthood together and they can test her there. You can go too and its usually pretty cheap. Good luck

If she would lie to u about that what else u think she would lie about. Ask her to go to a woman's clinic and get a free pregnancy test and see what she would say. If she don't want to do that then u know she's a lie and she would lie to u about anything.

You said she was extremely upset at the time. She just said whatever she could think of to hurt you or to hang onto you. She's not pregnant. Either let it go or let her go.

i have never done that but a good friend of mine got done that way by a girl an it was to get him to marry her an it worked.. But 2 weeks after they were married she LOST it ( so she said).. Just be careful with girls like that.. she either did it to hurt you or to hang on to you either way its not good
