How is your blood pressure? Too high can make you red.

It could very well be the first signs of rosacea which often starts with flushing for no apparent reason.

I started to suffer from severe flushing from 13 years of age so it may have been triggered by hormonal fluctuations.

I've always been interested in natural skin care as opposed to harsher chemical treatments from doctors but I did try two different prescribed medications which just irritated my already sensitive skin. :(

About two years ago I tried Sea Buckthorne Oil and my skin is so much calmer now. It only burns when I drink too much wine so I avoid that. All sorts of different foods & drink can trigger the flushing also. If you don't tackle it now, it could develop into worse outbreaks.

Apparently sea buckthorne oil is full of good stuff for healing all sorts of skin complaints. They use it in China for treating radiation burns.

I buy my oil from www.rosacea-remedy.com because it's the only one I could find that is pure and undiluted .

I had laser treatment for thread veins that were caused by years of heavy flushing. My face swelled up with large blister type patches - and was still badly swollen 3 days later and I got really worried. The beautician told me to try some sea buckthorn oil. ..... within an hour the swelling had gone! And now I hardly ever flush or have outbreaks of sore patches on my cheeks and nose :)

Good luck, and I hope it doesn't develop into anything long term :)

Sounds like Rosascia (pronounced Rose-Ay-Sha---not sure of spelling). There's a cream your doctor can prescribe for it.
