I firmly believe in home schooling. As a child we are forced to study, and interact with those whom seem "not" willing to interact with us, forcing us to "compete" with others for attention as well as the teachers.

Yet when you hear about teachers taking advantage of their students. I makes me wonder Why more persons out their don't start home schooling.

I strongly urge you to gain as much knowledge as you can in this matter.

...and do as the first answer said.

However, There maybe allot of paperwork to do, according to state laws abiding to their set rules for home schooling.

There are a TON of sites out there. I don't really refer to any so don't know what to recommend.

Should everyone consider it? Sure, why not. Only those who are dedicated should actually do it, though.

You can search through Answers to find lots of answers about pros and cons. Briefly, pros can be academic (child gets more time, more attention, gets to go own pace), social (child doesn't have the influence of 30 other immature kids on a daily basis, can have a wider social age range for interaction, can get more guidance) and emotional/psychological (no bullying, better sense of self because focus isn't on peers, strong bonding with family...)

Cons are that those who don't know anything about homeschooling speak out a lot against it and there are families who aren't dedicated who give homeschooling a bad name.
