If it wasn't for the devil seducing Eve to disobey God's command to not eat the fruit - then we wouldn't be in the mess that we are in today.
Read Genesis 3 where Satan lied to Eve
Revelation 12:9 identifies who used the serpent to seduce Eve
Mankind was created to live forever in paradise on earth. It was this act of disobedience (with Satan behind it) that caused sin & death/sickness etc to come upon mankind.
ROMANS 5:12
Next time you have an illness or someone you love dies or suffers or you see suffering on the TV or even when you see your next grey hair - remember that Satan is the cause of all that & more.
Now tell me you think he's an ok guy!!
God sent the plagues because the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites. If Pharoah had listened to Moses & let God's people go in the first place then they wouldn't have suffered.
After each & every plague God gave the Egyptians chance to let His people go. - They brought the calamity upon themselves.
Incidently, true Christians do not believe the earth was created in six literal days. If you genuinely want to know more then please don't hesistate to email me & I'll show you the scriptures to support my beliefs
:)
Oh, and just for the record:- the Trinity isn't in the bible either. It's a teaching borrowed from paganism.

Some of the responses are really annoying like your banished to hell....anyway check this out
DEVIL.....LIVED
EVIL....LIVE
GOD....DOG
Good cannot exist without EVIL and Evil cannot exist w itout GOOD the two actually NEED each other to be relevant dont they? Do God and the Devil need each other to exist? Do we have both God and Devil ie negative and positive ? Is the unbalance created when one exists a bit more in our system than the other?
Plus all the crap that happens in the world today is caused by MAN/WOMAN/PEOPLE not a spirit. The HOLY BOOKs that exist today where written by MAN this explains the atrocities that RELIGIOUS People throughout history are capable of and justify it through their GOD books. If there were no HOLY BOOKs would the world really be worse off?
Yes the God of The three HOLY BOOKS sent people to kill others and the books are full of Racism and predjudice
If God made everyone then why did he pick a bunch who live in the middle east to be his chosen people
Why are there no mention of chinese people or aboriginies? If God created the whole world and evertthing in it? Thats what i want to know and PLEASE LAME..O's dont say BCS everyone else is evil. Your stupidity will not warrant an answer

The worst thing the devil did was to deceive Adam and Eve into disobeying God (Genesis 3), which is when sin entered the world (see Romans 5:12). This brought a curse on mankind (Gen 3:14) and subjected the creation to frustration (Romans 8:20).
God made all things well, but man's sin has brought about the misery and suffering in the world. It is man who steals, man who rapes, man who murders, lies, cheats, schemes and causes much sorrow and tears; and all these things as a result of his rebellion against God, being deceived by the devil.

Agreed, the devil (Satan) did much less damage and killing than Jehovah.
Who flooded the entire earth and killed all but a few, not
Satan,Jehovah did that. And on top of that the killing did not remove evil, evil is still with us. Such an ineffective so-called God is to be pitied. You are not missing anything, in fact your thinking is superior to most on this subject.
Others say as Jehovah is God and Creator he can do as he pleases. That type of statement is utter nonsense and is used to excuse wrong doing, which is unacceptable
to most clear thinking folks.
Have a pleasant day.

C'mon!
first of all God is not a dictator, the Godhead is Plural, Eloiheim, represents the 3 that are united in our heaven and earth and rule and reign and judge and exalt. Jesus is the one who sits in earths throne. For every other world out there, in our wonderful galaxy there are numerous planets with thrones and dominions. And the Other Sons of God and SAviours Reign on those planets with God, So you see its NOT a dictatorship. It is a commonwealth and more of an oligarchy. to be exalted into the godhead is invitation by faith and righteousness.
Now the Devil himself causes many people to rebell against the truth, he is a liar, and a thief, he causes most of the evil ever since he TOLD Cain to murder ABEL.
Such is the evil of those that follow HIM. Jesus clearly taught that you will judge Them by their fruit. If they murder, their leader murders. and Jesus says Harm No ONE. yet people are murdered anyway.
When you discuss George Washington, you have to understand that just possibly The Kings of england follow Lucifer, the false god, and defending against tyranny is a right for self preservation. Then again! george washington worshipped god and was part of the masons. So it may not be correct what i say, but it may not be correct what you say either about lucifer. !

You're right in that there is nothing wrong with a rebel, unless the reasons for rebellion are purely self-serving and spiteful. If you look at the character traits of Satan he's just downright evil. Look at how he's described...
Satan accuses and slanders people. He bad-mouths US to God. (Revelation 12:9).
He decieves people. (Revelation 12:0)
He instigates jealousy. (James 3:13-16)
He is a liar and a murderer. (John 8:44)
Wouldn't you steer clear of someone you knew who had these traits? Wouldn't you call them evil? Look at what he did to Job, just to hurt God. The difference between God bringing death and Satan bringing death is intent. Satan's intent is for harm and destruction and to hurt God. God's intent was for the good of his people. God didn't bring the plagues because they wouldn't worship him, the Egyptians were holding God's people as slaves and would not give them their freedom. Pharaoh lied to the Hebrews and basically said "Bring it on!" to God. The bottom line in all this boils down to two things: character and intent. God's is good. Satan's is evil.

Actually NO! God did not send the plagues to the Egyptians because they did not worship him, he sent them because pharoh would not let Gods people go and God gave the Pharoh several chances to let his poeple go, but when Pharoh didnt he sent a plague each time until the pharoh said yea. And, the devil is evil because everthing that is wrong or is a sin or anything bad at all even the smallest thing that we do the devil delights in it because he loves it when some one does something bad and against the lord, but I dont know what your politically correct term for someone who delights in evil is?

first, I think you must read the Bible.than, even in the name of the devil is evil, without d. because of him, Adam & Eve left the Paradise. u know the story with the apple.you see, God loves us very much.In change, He wants to be listened.God is good & right. If you listen Him all is allright, but if you don't then you must support the consequences.God is jeleaus.imagine that you go at somebody elses parents and you stay with them, eat...you parents wouldn't be jeleaus? so is God. if we like to do bad things, for example, than loving Him, He will try to take us on the right way. one thing is important! God "hit" us for wisdom, so we must realize that we were wrong. He wants to test our faith. Lucifer comes at the back and tempt you to do little bad thing, then bigger bad things and so on, to fall in sin.he doesn't love you, he hates you, he wants your bad,he wants to make you evil , but God saves you from the evil if you want and if you pray to Him.think about this.if you're not sure, ask a priest. He's the one who knows better.

You are in "luck" {kid} tell me, how wise do you really think you are? First of all, {Father} in Heaven created a kingdom which was the greatest heaven, ever. There, he created and placed "ten" holy angels to mark his immaculate image to crystal clairity. The most beautiful and most powerful angel out of the ten god called "CHERUBRIUM" meaning the head, or if you perfer, the heart. However, something very ill-mannered happened in that glorious kingdom. Read "Hebrews". Or, if you wish, i believe an entity appeared before gods' very own EYES. An even more beautiful subject in gods own EYEs brought great pleasure to his spirit. So great that he said to that entity, This day have i begotten you: Come sit at my righthand and let me love you before "all" of my dear angels. So now, friend, how would you feel if your own father loved your older brother more than you? Maybe you would not even care. The {CHERUB} cared so much that it raged in pure "enVy". Then questioned {Father} It said "What is man that you are so mindful of him?" Then in It's own bitter defence, the once beautiful CHERUBRIUM commanded two of his amigos to tear off its' own wings at once so that It could no longer sustain itself in the hightest heaven. So, now that it found itself midway between SkyandEARTH on a tower, the once beautiful angel cursed {Father} by plunging headlong off the tower further destroying its' own SOULandSPIRIT. All because he could not understand the bitterness and sorrow {HE} now felt within himself. The END.

Well,
God genuinely cares about our well being he put rules out so we can live happily and safely together, he created us and He expects to be treated with respect. When you have children and you give them a good home and food and love and affection you do expect for one of them to say "to hell with this I am taking over this house and kicking my parents out." Satan on the other hand does not care about us at all. All he cares about is getting back at God and ruling the earth and heaven. God is forgiving, merciful, and loving. But he will not be mocked. If Satan was our leader we would not stand a chance for peace one day.
