No..children are a blessing from God. Why do we think we would do a better job then him making a baby.

No. i assume i'm somewhat harsh, yet there's no guarentee that a baby would have specific wellbeing circumstances in any case, so i wouldn't in any respect elect to work out it ensue. If we are all genetically appropriate, no person will die, and the earth is perilously on the threshold of overpopulation as this is. it would finally end up like the Giver, the place we would desire to deliver human beings over a undeniable age "down the river" or regardless of and euthanize them to make room for extra generations. instead of genetically engineering yet another baby to the main suitable option a bone marrow transplant, use the twine blood. i'm enthusiastic approximately saving each childs umbilical twine instead, and perfecting the technology to apply those cells to restoration any themes. Use the blood to create a healthful version of a cellular, then clone it.

Yes. I don't see why it would be so wrong to select for genetic traits that are already present in the parents genes, just not dominate enough to show. I do think there would be some ethic issues involved (like keeping the society gender balanced) but I think the positives would outweigh the negatives.
Now would I personally do it? Probably not.

No, I don't think it should not be allowed.
I'm actually all for stem cell research, but I am totally against messing with nature in procreation. We have what we are meant to have. Even the disabilities. I have four girls and I would never try to change the sex to a boy artificially.
If you mess with nature, you will get a consequence of nature reacting to the changes and the only ones that will suffer will be the children created from it.

Well certainly not for height, weight or colour of the eyes. But imagine if one could tweak the genetics a bit and ensure that the child would not suffer from say- cancer or tourettes syndrome or depression etc...would I not be tempted? But can you open the door to one kind of modification and not the other? More questions than answers.

No! Its is messing with nature and that is something people shouldn't do, never know what will happen health wise to that child years from now-I wouldn't want to chance that, people need to be happy with the children that they have and accept people the way they will be.

no, you cant add "special features" to your kid. you have to take what God gives you, and love and charish it, and leave it at that.Plus, scientificly, it can cause many defects because surgeries as this have not been perfected yet, not that I'm for it, I hate the idea.
