" For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. " Acts:3:22

If the above quote is not prophesying the coming of Jesus then it may be referring to Prophet Muhammad.

Jesus himself unequivocally said he was a prophet. are those teaching the Word of God anti- Christ or they are just changing the words to mislead the ignorant and keep them under their control?.
6:1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him......Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. Mark 6:1-4

+ Prophets +

A prophet is any person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of God is expressed.

This definition can include Moses, Ezekiel, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, Peter, Paul, Pope John Paul II, and Mother Teresa, even you or me.

+ Jesus Christ +

Christians do not deny that Jesus Christ was a prophet but we proclaim that he was and is so much more.

The word Christ, means Messiah, the anointed one.

In the Nicene Creed (from 325 A.D.), we state that we "believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

With love in Christ.

Of course Jesus was a Prophet, but not like any other prophet. You can read Matthew chapter 24 to see an example of His Prophecies. Jesus Christ was and is God made flesh. So it's incorrect to say that Jesus was just another prophet.

No, Christians do in fact believe that Jesus was a prophet, and also the Messiah and the Son of God.

Jesus is a prophet, but much more than that. Jesus is the son of God, the redeemer and a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

first off Jesus doesnt say He is a prophet in that verses - He is telling them what happens to prophets in their own country -

second a prophet is one that tells the future - I think Jesus is capable of this but that doesnt mean He is not God -

third on many occasions Jesus does claim to be God

Jesus did not own a Bible.... the tale change into written about him in a achievable age after the Crucifixion has ended and the merely good survivors who instructed the tale to the writers in all likelihood had a area named after them dedicated to their understand the Lord...... the Bible is a really present day introduction, besides the actual incontrovertible truth that it change into created someplace contained in the early A.D. years.. as for the actual incontrovertible truth that it would want to take over your existence, all i can say is i wish you stick with the be conscious and do not mispercieve it...imagine obviously on your judgements and stick with the understand our Lord as cleanly as achievable

22-26) Peter warns of the danger of rejecting Jesus.

“For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

a. For Moses truly said to the fathers: The Jews of Peter’s day were aware of this prophecy of Moses (recorded in Deuteronomy 18:15, 18-19), but some thought that the Prophet would be someone different than the Messiah; Peter makes it clear that they are one and the same.

b. Every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed: The destruction promised in the prophecy would become the legacy of this generation of Jews. Many, but not all, of this generation rejected Jesus twice over.

c. Hidden in the idea of the promise to Abraham (all the families of the earth shall be blessed) and in the words to you first is the undeveloped theme of the extension of the gospel to all the world - even Gentiles.

d. Sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities: God’s desire to bless us and to do good for us also includes His desire to turn us all away from our sins.

i. Just as the lame man was hindered by expecting something from God, but expecting the wrong thing, so it was with the Jewish people at this time. They were expecting the Messiah, but not the right kind of Messiah. They were looking for a political Messiah, not one to turn every one of you from your iniquities. Are you expecting the right things from God today?

I think Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God himself. It is the Q'ran and Islam that believe Jesus is only a prophet of God. They both believe in the miracles he has made in the past. Please do your proper research before you say anything. We need to bring the positive humanity out in this world!!

The same verse is speaking of Jesus, truely.
sure, jesus was the Moshiac, and the messiah and the christ.
but if you can say that verse defines mohammed i can tell you it also can be said about any prophet, or even Joseph Smith jr. from the LDS church.
