the pup is only 12 weeks old and has been used to my girlfriend being here everyday, all day. but now she doesnt live here anymore and my puppy has just lost all the energy she had. even when i make her play it is short lived... she(puppy) has been potty trained and everything ever since the second week we had her.

Spend more time with the puppy. Play with it, talk to it, take it for walks - it will take a bit of time, but the puppy will get used to her absence and go back to normal.

Wow, I really don't like that first answer. Just stay with your puppy and be nearby to her as much as you can, be nice and bear with her...eventually she'll get used to your girlfriend's absence.

lol, thats normal, give her a couple weeks..she'll be fine..find another puppy for her to socialize with every couple days..i do foster care for dogs and it takes em a couple weeks to get back to normal..she also could be playing off your emotions..if your sad she'll be sad..so just remember that..

If your friend lives near by bring her to visit her but anyway you should buy another puppy to be it's friend so just try that if it works.

all you can really do is give her lots of affection and play with her,give her a new routine where maybe you take her for a walk or do something special when you get home,she will get better in time,hang in there!
