Why would anyone want to explain the missing Christians when there's so much celebrating to be done???

I think there will be so many pseudo-Christians left after the Rapture that unbelievers will say that it was caused by a force other than God. In other words, they'll assume the "Christians" left behind were true Christians, so I think this will confuse the heck out of them. I'm absolutely sure they will deny God's hand in it.
Some, though, will finally see the truth and believe.
EDIT: "Father K," Origen wrote about the Rapture. It's mentioned in many early Church writings. You should re-evaluate your understanding of this issue.

They will come up with any and all excuses, but I agree with John T. Since so many of them seem to think that Christians are the lowest of the low on the evolution scale, they will probably say that natural selection finally caught up with them and wiped them out.

IF there were to be a Rapture?
Why make excuses, IF Christians get called to their heaven,so be it. I just think that IF it happens there are going to be a whole lot of people wondering why they are still here with the rest of us.
The Rapture sound a whole lot like Ragnarok to me. For those unfamiliar with the concept goggle Norse mythology.

Evoloution. The survivors will claim that the human race has "Evolved" beyond the need for God, or that the Christians had some faulty gene that made them targets for mass extinction, or some convincing para-scientific babble like that.

There will be no excuses.
And sadly, there will probably be way too many "so called Christians" still here. Woe to anyone left behind.

Rapture is not in the Bible....never has been...it was in invention of Plymouth Brethren led by John Nelson Darby.
Sorry but no one is going anywhere soon. Gods coming back, he going to be a Lion and then there will be 1000 years of peace.
Then we are going one place or another....

Since the so-called "rapture" is an unbiblical concept and unheard of for the first 1,850 years of the Church, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it unless you think you look particularly attractive with blue lips.
